Specializing in increased mobility and relief of pain for your back, hips, and legs.
WELCOME!
Hello! I’m Lem Jackson, a Licensed Massage Therapist, Board-Certified Trigger Point Therapist, Certified Myotherapist (using the Bonnie Prudden Myotherapy® method), Certified Cupping Therapist, and owner of Miami-Dade Therapeutic Massage. I specialize in increasing mobility and relief of pain (back, hips, and legs). I graduated from The Florida College of Natural Health in 2016 and have been a business owner since 2017. I enjoy what I do immensely and tutor those that need help in passing their MBLEX Exam or improving their massage techniques.
I was originally a pre-Med major but decided to venture into the world of education. I am an Educator by nature. I took my education, my bachelor’s degree in the Arts and Sciences and master’s degrees Public Administration and fused them with my love for health and people’s well-being.
As a child I was fascinated by science, medicine, and life. I wanted to know how to help others get well and if possible, cure them in a natural way. I suffered from Asthma and had to use an inhaler. My Asthma placed me in the hospital a few times and kept me away from certain sports, but I was still driven to be a part of something, something great. I was determined to be healed from Asthma and be free from the inhaler. Over time, I discovered that massages help in a way an inhaler could not.
During college I decided to indulge in martial arts and began taking Judo at the university. I eventually injured both knees from incorrectly landing on the mats. I also injured my hand, neck, and back. Each injury took longer and longer for me to recover from, until it dawned on me that I needed to start getting treatments while I was training. I started getting THERAPEUTIC massages, Chiropractic, and Acupuncture work done weekly. There were a few occasions when I could not straighten up and walked bent and twisted. I would be in tremendous pain and had to lie on the couch because my back went out. Fortunately, regular Therapeutic massages treated and continues to treat my back pain issues.
I realized from my experiences that Therapeutic massages help tremendously and were VITAL to my health, recovery, and MOBILITY. Although I was a fulltime teacher, I went to massage school parttime to finally learn and become a Massage Therapist. It is my passion to treat those with issues like mine. I spent years HONIG my strategic methods to SUPPORT clients on their road to RECOVERY.

When I am not massaging or tutoring, I am spending time with family and friends. During the week, my wife and I go to our son’s weekly Basketball practice. Sometimes he would ask me to massage his hips and legs when practice is over. This helps him recover from practice and do well with his games on the weekends. When we are not at the games, my wife and I look for authentic cuisine within our counties to try. We have been able to explore many dishes from around the world without always having to travel there. However, my wife, my son, and me try to travel a couple of times during the year to a different state in the U.S. Other times, we travel with family. We plan to add international travel to our family itinerary soon.
